New Album Name

As the recording came to a close, I started to think about the title. For most of the recording, I had considered using the title “Remnants of a future’s past”, as I felt it summed up what the album was about. As the recordings inched closer to completion, I began to rethink that title, as most of the songs started to have a newness about them, and no longer seemed like remnants.

About that time I went through several possible names, including “Tilting at Windmills” and the ever popular “eponymous”. I liked the Don Quixote reference in “Tilting at Windmills”, but an online search turned up several albums with that name. Digging a little more through Don Quixote, I came across a line from a song in “Man of La Mancha” – “cuckoo singing in the cuckoo berry tree”. The title seemed a perfect fit for these 10 songs that had coalesced together in to this album.
